Born in 1995, Gabriel Boudin grew up in Paris in the studio of his father, Philippe Boudin.

His relationship with this one greatly influenced his work on the subjects of loss of identity and memory erasure caused by mental illnesses.

The result is the Semi Visages series, created from 2018 to 2024.

Since 2025, Gabriel Boudin has been developing the Corps Brûlés series, working to create a closer link between the forms of the body and those of the wood which, after carbonization and waxing, takes on a plural aspect to become stone, leather, metal.

While the Semi Visages offer a perspective on the relationship with oneself and the search for inner peace, the Corps Brûlés reflect on otherness and the upheavals it causes.

Symbolizing the unknown, the systematic use of the letter "x" in the titles of this new series reinforces this emerging approach.
